13 Oct RESOURCE GROUP TEAM SPOTLIGHT: JAMES SARGENT – ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, SOUTHWEST
In July we welcomed our newest team member, James Sargent. His primary responsibilities are in the Southwest region; however his influence will be felt throughout the company. James often works with one of our partners, FreshPoint, on developing and expanding their organic produce program. He feels that conventional produce programs are very different from organic produce programs, and that it takes a special, in-depth knowledge of the organic market to help make an organic program sustainable and successful.
Before joining the Resource Group team, James gained experience working for Greenling, Inc. – a company focused on working with local producers to deliver local and organic food at similar prices as grocery stores.
James says the things he enjoys most about working in the organic food field is having a positive impact on the environment and the consumer’s health while supporting organic growers. He also enjoys helping his clients run successful businesses.
Some fun facts about Mr. Sargent – he is a musician who plays in not one, but three bands! He grew up in Boston but has lived in Austin, TX for eight years and he loves taking his dog to the Greenbelt for a jog and swim.
