RESOURCE GROUP TEAM SPOTLIGHT: Fernando Sanabria, Sales Executive
Q: Tell us a bit about you and your background – work experience:
A: I’ve been with the Organic Industry for the past 4 years. My beginnings were in Retail, moved up to Retail Management and then Distribution Sales. For the last year and a half, I worked for Albert’s Organics as a Sr. Sales Representative, and now have the opportunity to bring my retail and distribution experience to Resource Group and FreshPoint.
Q: Tell us a bit about you and your background / life experience:
A: I consider myself an adventurer at heart. From traveling to different countries, to challenging my physical and mental abilities, I thrive on experiencing the unknown. Currently I dedicate most of my free time to training (Rock Climbing, Calisthenics, Obstacles, etc..), and hope to receive the opportunity to be on American Ninja Warrior (TV Show) in the next couple of years.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your job / field?
A: On the organic side of things, I love that my job supports better environmental practices and a healthier lifestyle for people. What I enjoy most about selling, is creating positive relationships with all the department managers.
Q: What are you passionate about?
A: I’m passionate about travel, foreign languages and challenging my physical capabilities.
Q: How many years of experience do have in this line of work? Where did you work prior to Resource Group?
A: As previously mentioned, I’ve been with the Organic Industry for 4 years, and Distribution for a year and a half. I’ve also been involved with sales from a very young age. Those that have known me for years will attest that I’ve always had some type of business endeavor. Prior to working for Resource Group, I worked for Albert’s Organics (a division of UNFI).
Q: What are 3 fun facts about yourself?
A: I’ve been involved with the American Ninja Warrior community for the last 2 years and am currently training to be on the show.
I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, and have traveled to over 10 countries.
My Bachelor’s degree is in Theology, and find world religions to be fascinating.
Q: Why are you proud to work for / with Resource Group?
A: Though I haven’t been onboard for long, I can see that the culture within the company is very positive and see great potential for growth. I look forward to what the future brings with Resource Group.
