Did you hear about the avocado strike in Mexico? A deal was reached in the strike and, according to The Produce News, “there were 900 picking crews back in the Mexican avocado groves on Saturday, Oct. 15, and more than 1,000 crews were picking fruit Monday, Oct. 17, so the expectation is that millions of pounds will soon be flowing to the United States to start to fill the empty pipeline.”
