RESOURCE GROUP TEAM SPOTLIGHT: Jim Lawdenski – Account Executive, Southwest

Q: Tell us a bit about you and your background – work experience:
A:  I had many part time jobs until I was 19 years old. Got a job at Dominick’s Finer Foods. Started in the Produce Department and never left. Last 12 years have been spent in Wholesale/Distribution.

Q: Tell us a bit about you and your background – life experience:
A: Born and raised in Chicago and its suburbs currently live in Aurora IL 40 miles west of Chicago. youngest of 3 boys. Married 31 years to my best friend Elvira, with 2 adult children Elizabeth (Beth) 25 and Nathaniel (Nate) 23.

Q: What do you enjoy most about your job / field? 
A: I enjoy talking to people. When at the store level I always tried to teach at least one customer a day something new about produce. I enjoy helping people solve their problems. I love the seasonal changes in produce it’s always new and exciting.

Q: What are you passionate about?
A: 1) My family
2) Environmental issues—we have to become good stewards of this planet it’s the only one we have.
3) My church—very peace oriented and socially active

Q: How many years of experience do have in this line of work? Where did you work prior to Resource Group?  
A: Almost 40 years. Dominick’s Finer foods, Goodness Greeness, Anthony Marano Company.

Q: What are 3 fun facts about yourself? 
A:  I love bad Horror and Sci-Fi movies. the worse the acting, affects, dialogue, and plot the better.
I enjoy reading—John Sanford, Steven King, Dean Koontz some of my favorites.
I’m not real fond of Clowns and Ferris Wheels

Q: Why are you proud to work for/with Resource Group?
A: I’ve known Pat Bayor for over 30 years and have worked with a number of other Resource Group people over the years. They are all knowledgeable and believe they can help get quality organic produce at a fair cost to people.
